COMPANY OPERATIONS

Propane Distribution – This business has been principally operated under the name of Superior Propane, a long-established business operating since 1951, and is Canada’s largest distributor of propane and related products and services. The company serves its customer base through a network of 2 national operating centres, 45 market locations and 125 satellite locations, utilizing state-of-the-art delivery and routing technology. With the recent U.S. acquisitions in third quarter 2009 there is significant growth opportunity for propane distribution in the North Eastern United States.

U.S. Heating Oil and Refined Fuels Distribution – This large regional business, located in the North Eastern United States is focused on residential and commercial heating oil, propane and diesel distribution and is complimentary to Superior's Canadian propane business. It services a market area totalling approximately 3.5 million households and was acquired by Superior in late 2008. Superior sees opportunities increase its existing market share through continued industry consolidation in addition to expanding its propane business into this new market.

Wholesale Energy Supply Management – This business is involved in the procurement and trading of propane and heating oil. Superior recently expanded this business into heating oil as a consequence of acquiring the U.S. heating oil and refined fuels distribution business.

Fixed-Price Energy Management – Provides natural gas and electricity retail and wholesale services to approximately 100,000 customers in Ontario, Quebec and British Columbia.
